Bikers who came to Konya from all over Turkey rode in a cortege to realize the dream of 3-year-old mentally and physically disabled Eymen Ceylan, who has a passion for motorcycles.
Motorcycle enthusiasts who came to Konya yesterday organized a cortege for 3-year-old mentally and physically disabled Eymen Ceylan. After the ride led by Anatolian Soldiers Mc Motorcycle, they went to little Eymen's house. At the event, Eymen was given a biker vest and after putting on his vest, he got on the bike with the help of his father. Afterwards, the happiness in Eymen's eyes created emotional moments. Expressing the happiness he felt from the moments they experienced, Eymen Ceylan's Father Ahmet Ceylan said, “I would like to thank each and every one of the friends who came here. They made my son happy. Even though Eymen is 3 years old now, we noticed that he was interested in motorcycles when he was 1 year old. He would run to the engine wherever he saw it. When we noticed his interest in the engine, my father bought Eymen a battery-powered car and a small engine. He uses it.” said.
HE WILL BEAT HIS OBSTACLE
Expressing that they want Eymen to ride a motorcycle in the future, Father Ahmet Ceylan said, “My child is ultimately disabled, but I hope he will overcome this disability. Since Eymen's problem is in his knees, he has to use his knees in the engine. Of course, I don't know if the engine can be developed accordingly. Doctors already told us that his disability was temporary. So this is surmountable. I hope it will pass and everything will be better.” he said. Ahmet Ceylan added that in the future, when Eymen wants to ride a motorcycle, they will pave the way for him and they will not hinder him in this regard.
“HE WAS LOOKING AT THE ENGINE THROUGH THE WINDOW”
Explaining how he first noticed Eymen's interest in motorcycles, Special Education Teacher Ali Ünal said, "Eymen is my student. I go to school by motorcycle. I noticed this about Eymen: Every day when he comes to class, he looks at the engine from the window. One day I took him and he wanted to ride on the motorcycle. He got on the engine and then tried to open the gas. In this way, we started to communicate better with Eymen.” he stated.
“HE IS NOW A MOTORIST TOO”
Stating that they have been carrying out such awareness activities for special students in Konya for about two years, Teacher Ali Ünal said, “Our special students came to visit us with the events we held before. Then we decided to visit Eymen this time as biker brothers in various provinces of Turkey. Thanks to them, we had friends coming from all over Turkey. We also dressed Eymen in a biker vest. "From now on, he became a biker like us." he said.
“THE BIGGEST OBSTACLE IS LACK OF LOVE”
Pointing out that motorcyclists are misperceived in society, Ali Ünal said, “Contrary to popular belief, they put motorcyclists in separate corners on the streets and in the surroundings, they generally look at them as vagrants, but there is absolutely no such thing. We already make people aware of this through the activities we do. The biggest obstacle is lack of love. There must be love among our people, among our people. Most importantly, there should be no prejudice, and when there is no prejudice, there will be love, and when there is love, there will be no obstacles.” He concluded his words by saying.
